Cheerful Chess - 10/04/2025 Service at Library

After Shiang and I left Cielle’s fun singing class, we hurried to another library to join the chess activity.

The chess class started at 2 p.m., but by the time we arrived, it was already past two. The children’s nook was already full, with three tables of players, and all the chess sets neatly laid out.

Shiang immediately jumped in, introducing himself and starting to play with the kids.

Marcus arrived soon after and joined in, helping the children with their games. The hour passed quickly, filled with laughter and concentration.

When we packed up the chess sets at the end, Marcus stayed a little longer to play with the kids who didn’t want to leave. After a busy afternoon together, we all felt happy and fulfilled. And since today happens to be my birthday, it felt especially meaningful. :)
