Painting the World Within on T-Shirts - 01/11/2026 S senior Center Service

This past Sunday, we returned to the R.P. Senior Center.

Annie and I spent the day helping the seniors paint t-shirts using squeeze bottles, and it was amazing to see how much creativity came out of such a simple activity.

Many beautiful designs were made. Some were simple yet clever, like one t-shirt that looked like mistletoe, created with flowing green lines and a small dab of orange paint.

Others were playful and full of personality, including a cheerful smiley face.

When a senior wanted to make a basketball-themed t-shirt for her husband, Annie helped by drawing the basketball, while I wrote her husband’s name underneath it. She was thankful for our help, and it was touching to be part of something so meaningful to her.

Even one created a t-shirt with a hilarious drawing of Mrs. T, the senior home acitivity manager, which brought laughter to the room.

By the time we left, everyone was filled with smiles. Everyone had a great time and I look forward to coming back!
