Today we painted seashells with the seniors downstairs. They worked with a variety of colors, each creating both a large and a small seashell masterpiece. The seniors took their time, painting delicately, putting down each brushstroke with care. The finished seashells looked beautiful, and the seniors left with smiles on their faces, warmly thanking us for our time.

Alice, one of our volunteers who is especially talented in art, kindly helped a senior throughout the activity. Shiang, a new performer in our group, also joined us today and assisted the seniors. Some of the residents even recognized Rien, asking if he was the one who sings. When he replied that he plays the piano instead, a few seniors playfully suggested he should sing next time. Everyone, including Rien, burst into laughter.

After the session, we spoke with the senior home staff, who shared something very touching. They told us that usually only two or three seniors join craft time—but today, many more participated simply because they heard the youth volunteers would be coming. They love seeing the kids, whose presence clearly brought joy to everyone involved.
